This is the Terceira I know.
Somehow life has a way of taking me to places I never planned to go. Despite it's remoteness, an island that felt surprisingly fresh and exciting. Terceira is primarily known for its rich culture and summer festivities as well as its laidback atmosphere. Traveling alone was the scariest, most liberating, life changing experience of my life.
I meet so many people with so many different stories. A guy from UK that hasn't a home (works remotely to Amazon around the world), a couple from Germany that asked for a lift and we spent a couple of hours talking and sharing vibes - Uber driver Mishlawi. A couple that saw me with a camera and kindly asked for a cool picture from both of them, a guy from national geographic that shared with me so many experiences; Mr. Pedro - this guy won the prize for the best person in Azores because his hospitality (this guy stopped working to show me Angra do Heroísmo). Mr. Sergio and his dog Jamon from the Airbnb house.
My roommates Francisco and Ricardo that one night came home completely drunk and we laughed so much that night that we went to sleep at 4am with a sky full of stars and the milk way looking so fckng amazing that night. So many more stories that will always remember and take with me for the rest of my life.
Life is too short to settle for something less than spectacular.
